Several lymphomas showed moderate to strong cytoplasmic positivity while thyroid cancers and several colorectal cancers displayed moderate cytoplasmic staining. Remaining cancer tissues were in general negative or weakly stained.
Most cancer tissues displayed moderate positivity. Malignant carcinoids, colorectal, ovarian and endometrial cancers showed cases with strong staining.

However, the encoded protein lacks caspase activity and appears to be itself cleaved into two peptides by caspase-8.
