Most malignant cells displayed weak to moderate nuclear staining. A few cases of colorectal and urothelial cancers were strongly stained. A majority of hepatocellular carcinomas, malignant lymphomas, prostate and renal cancers were negative.
Breast cancers along with few cases of urothelial cancers displayed moderate to strong nuclear positivity. Moderate cytoplasmic and membranous staining was observed in rare cases of pancreatic cancers. Remaining cancer tissues were weakly stained or negative.

Entrez gene summary
This gene encodes a protein which belongs to the GATA family of transcription factors. The protein contains two GATA-type zinc fingers and is an important regulator of T-cell development and plays an important role in endothelial cell biology. Defects in this gene are the cause of hypoparathyroidism with sensorineural deafness and renal dysplasia. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
