Rare cases of breast cancer, carcinoid and testicular cancers showed moderate cytoplasmic and nuclear positivity. A single case of pancreatic cancer showed strong positivity. Remaining cancer tissues were weakly stained or negative.
A fraction of tumor cells in a rare case of duct carcinoma of breast displayed strong cytoplasmic staining while a rare case of ovarian mucinous cystadenocarcinoma showed moderate positivity. Remaining cancer tissues were in general negative.

Description
ADP-ribosyltransferase 5 (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ARG-specific ADP-ribosyltransferase family. Proteins in this family regulate the function of target proteins by attaching ADP-ribose to specific amino acid residues in their target proteins. The mouse homolog lacks a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor signal sequence and is predicted to be a secretory enzyme. Several transcripts encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
