Few cases of lymphomas, colorectal, prostate, stomach and pancreatic cancers displayed moderate cytoplasmic or nuclear positivity. Remaining cancer tissues were weakly stained or negative.
Few cases of gliomas, lymphomas, melanomas and urothelial cancers displayed moderate to strong nuclear staining. Few cases of colorectal cancers exhibited moderate positivity. Inflammatory cells were distinctly stained. Remaining cancer tissues were negative.

Gene name
SATB1
Synonyms
Description
SATB homeobox 1 (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
This gene encodes a matrix protein which binds nuclear matrix and scaffold-associating DNAs through a unique nuclear architecture. The protein recruits chromatin-remodeling factors in order to regulate chromatin structure and gene expression. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
