Cancer cells generally displayed moderate to strong cytoplasmic staining with additional nuclear and/or membranous positivity in several cases. Most liver cancers were weakly stained or negative.
Most cancers showed moderate cytoplasmic positivity. A majority of thyroid cancers along with cases of lung adenocarcinomas, melanomas and colorectal cancers displayed strong immunoreactivity. Several cases of renal, urothelial and squamous cell carcinomas were weakly stained or negative.
Testicular, thyroid and prostate cancers as well as several melanomas, colorectal, breast, ovarian and gastric cancers showed moderate cytoplasmic staining. Remaining cancers were in general weakly stained or negative.

Prolyl endopeptidase (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytosolic prolyl endopeptidase that cleaves peptide bonds on the C-terminal side of prolyl residues within peptides that are up to approximately 30 amino acids long. Prolyl endopeptidases have been reported to be involved in the maturation and degradation of peptide hormones and neuropeptides. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
