Several colorectal, breast, prostate, stomach, pancreas, testis, liver and lung cancers showed moderate cytoplasmic positivity. Rare cases of breast, pancreas, stomach and testis cancers showed strong cytoplasmic staining. Other cancer tissues were in general weakly stained or negative.
Weak to moderate cytoplasmic immunoreactivity was observed in colorectal, breast, ovarian and testicular cancers. Remaining tissues were generally negative.
Most cancer tissues showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic immunoreactivity. Several seminomas and few endometrial cancers displayed strong immunoreactivity. Several lymphomas were negative.
This gene encodes a highly conserved enzyme that belongs to the aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase class IIc subfamily. This enzyme comprises the regulatory beta subunits that form a tetramer with two catalytic alpha subunits. In the presence of ATP, this tetramer is responsible for attaching L-phenylalanine to the terminal adenosine of the appropriate tRNA. A pseudogene located on chromosome 10 has been identified.
