Moderate to strong nuclear staining with occasional cytoplasmic positivity was observed in most malignant cells. Strong positivity was observed in a few cases of malignant melanomas, skin and testicular cancers.
Most malignant tissues showed moderate to strong nuclear positivity.
GENE INFORMATION
Gene name
CHD1L (HGNC Symbol)
Synonyms
ALC1
Description
Chromodomain helicase DNA binding protein 1-like (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
This gene encodes a DNA helicase protein involved in DNA repair. The protein converts ATP to add poly(ADP-ribose) as it regulates chromatin relaxation following DNA damage. Several alternatively spliced transcripts variants have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]
