Most cancer cells showed moderate cytoplasmic positivity with a granular pattern. Hepatocellular carcinomas and occasional ovarian cancers were strongly stained. Lymphomas, several squamous cell carcinomas, testis, renal and stomach cancers were weakly stained or negative.
Most cancers showed weak to moderate cytoplasmic positivity with additional membranous staining in few tissues. Several liver cancers and few ovarian cancers displayed strong immunoreactivity. Carcinoids along with few skin, cervical, lung and renal cancers were negative.
GENE INFORMATION
Gene name
NADK2 (HGNC Symbol)
Synonyms
C5orf33, FLJ30596, MNADK, NADKD1
Description
NAD kinase 2, mitochondrial (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
This gene encodes a mitochondrial kinase that catalyzes the phosphorylation of NAD to yield NADP. Mutations in this gene result in 2,4-dienoyl-CoA reductase deficiency. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2014]
