Most cancer cells showed moderate nuclear and occasional cytoplasmic positivity. Several cases of squamous cell carcinoma of cervix, basal cell carcinoma of skin, glioma, lymphoma, melanoma, testis and urothelial cancers showed strong positivity. Most cases of liver and renal cancers were weakly stained or negative.
Most gliomas, lymphomas, melanomas, testis, urothelial, skin and renal cancers along with a few colorectal and gastric cancers displayed weak to moderate nuclear positivity. Remaining cancer cells were negative.
GENE INFORMATION
Gene name

Synonyms
CTG-B43a, CTG-B45d, HRIHFB2206
Description
THAP domain containing 11 (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
The protein encoded by this gene contains a THAP domain, which is a conserved DNA-binding domain that has striking similarity to the site-specific DNA-binding domain (DBD) of Drosophila P element transposases. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
