Several hepatocellular carcinomas displayed moderate cytoplasmic positivity. Several urothelial and pancreatic cancers along with a few ovarian, endometrial renal and stomach cancers were weakly stained. Remaining cancer cells were negative.
Several cases of liver cancers, a few cases of prostate, renal and pancreatic cancers along with a rare case of duct carcinoma of breast exhibited weak to moderate cytoplasmic positivity. Remaining cancers were negative.

Gene name
CAPN12
Synonyms
Description
Calpain 12 (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
The calpains, calcium-activated neutral proteases, are nonlysosomal, intracellular cysteine proteases. The mammalian calpains include ubiquitous, stomach-specific, and muscle-specific proteins. The ubiquitous enzymes consist of heterodimers with distinct large, catalytic subunits associated with a common small, regulatory subunit. This gene encodes a member of the calpain large subunit family. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2012]
