Most cancer tissues were weakly stained or negative. Strong cytoplasmic staining was found in one colorectal carcinoma and in a few cases of carcinoids.
Malignant carcinoids displayed strong immunoreactivity while fractions of cells in for example lung and pancreatic cancers were moderately stained. Malignant cells in general were weakly stained or negative.
In cancer cells, strong staining was observed in the cytoplasm of carcinoids. Cancer cells in general were negative.
