A majority of malignant cells exhibited moderate cytoplasmic and/or nuclear immunoreactivity. Testicular cancers showed strong staining. A majority of ovarian, prostate, renal and liver cancers were negative.
Moderate cytoplasmic and nuclear immunoreactivity was observed in most malignant tissues. Colorectal and testicular cancers were strongly positive in several cases.
Malignant cells showed cytoplasmic and nuclear positivity with varying intensity. Malignant melanomas and ovarian cancers exhibited strong immunoreactivity while several skin, breast and colorectal cancers were moderately positive. Most cases of malignant lymphomas, prostate, testicular and renal cancers were negative.
Malignant cells displayed weak to moderate cytoplasmic staining with additional nuclear staining in some cases. A few cases of malignant glioma, adenocarcinoma, tumors of thyroid, cervical, urothelial and pancreas showed strong immunoreactivity.

Entrez gene summary
This gene encodes a member of the karyopherin family that is required for the transport of small RNAs and double-stranded RNA-binding proteins from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. The encoded protein translocates cargo through the nuclear pore complex in a RanGTP-dependent process. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
