Most cancer cells displayed moderate cytoplasmic immunoreactivity. Additional membranous staining was observed in a few cases. Several colorectal cancers along with a few pancreatic and ovarian cancers were strongly stained. Many lymphomas, testicular and renal cancers were weakly stained or negative.

Gene name
GCC2 (HGNC Symbol)
Synonyms
GCC185, KIAA0336
Description
GRIP and coiled-coil domain containing 2 (HGNC Symbol)
Entrez gene summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a peripheral membrane protein localized to the trans-Golgi network. It is sensitive to brefeldin A. This encoded protein contains a GRIP domain which is thought to be used in targeting. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2009]
