Cancer tissues displayed weak to moderate nuclear positivity with additional cytoplasmic staining in a few tissues. Rare case of urothelial cancer was strongly stained. Several cases of lymphomas, malignant gliomas, testicular, endometrial, colorectal and pancreatic cancers were negative.
Most cancer tissues showed moderate to strong cytoplasmic and nuclear positivity. Ovarian, endometrial, gastric showed weak positivity or were negative.
Most cancer tissues showed weak to moderate nuclear and cytoplasmic immunoreactivity.

Entrez gene summary
This gene represents a ubiquitin gene, ubiquitin C. The encoded protein is a polyubiquitin precursor. Conjugation of ubiquitin monomers or polymers can lead to various effects within a cell, depending on the residues to which ubiquitin is conjugated. Ubiquitination has been associated with protein degradation, DNA repair, cell cycle regulation, kinase modification, endocytosis, and regulation of other cell signaling pathways.
